The company has opened a new office in the upper Kirby District of Houston and has hired Debra Hicks-Gutierrez, one of region's most experienced residential title insurance managers, to run the division.

"We have served the residential market for more than a year, but, until now, our resources have been focused primarily on commercial title insurance," said Michael Knudsen, chief financial officer of Veritas Title Partners. The company is supporting that commitment with additional personnel who specialize in residential real estate transactions, Knudsen said. Hicks-Gutierrez, a 30-year veteran of the mortgage and title industry, is responsible for developing the company's residential business as well as managing the division. "We plan to open additional offices throughout the region very quickly," Knudsen said.

The new Veritas Title Elite Property office is located at 2415 West Alabama, Suite 212, near the company's commercial operations.
